‘Lorelie’ Mixed Media Mermaid/Siren

Description

Lorelie, named after the siren from German folklore, who enticed sailors with her haunting melodies.

Here she sits, upon a craggy rock, searching for unfortunate souls.

Hand sculpted from stone art clay and air dry clay with recycled fabrics and textile hardener. Finished with beautiful chameleon mica powders and Renaissance Wax.

Approximately 46cm high. Base measures 16cm x 11cm to which I’ve added a tiny shell and starfish.

Indoor use only.
